When I was a kid, I wanted to make my own toys, because buying them at the store wasn't as fun. Through that, I exercised creativity and manual skills. It is gratifying to benefit from something that came spontaneously in childhood. Thus here is a word of advice: If you are a kid or a teen, have fun excercising your manual skills with aeromodelism or something like that. If you are a father, incentivate your kids to build their own toys; they will be grateful 40 years later.
